The short version

This is the free, ad-supported version of Street Smarts Quiz.
When you sign in, we store your email, your quiz history and scores, and simple usage events (for example “quiz started” or “quiz finished”) in Google’s Firebase, so your history syncs across your devices.
The app shows ads. Right now these are our own ads for Street Smart Pro. If we switch on Google AdSense later, Google may use cookies to show ads.
We never sell your information.
You can delete your account and all of its data at any time from ⚙️ Account.
Want no ads and on-device history? Street Smart Pro is ad-free and private.

Who we are

Street Smarts Quiz (https://street-smart-6e18e.web.app) is a small, family-run quiz app. Questions about privacy: happymoodon@pm.me.

What we collect and why

Account details: your email address, password (kept in hashed form) and the name you give at sign-up. Firebase Authentication (Google) uses them to sign you in and send verification and password-reset emails.
Quiz history: for each finished quiz, the topic, the questions, your answers, the score, pass/fail and the time taken. It is stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore under your account so you can see it on any device.
Usage events: when you start or finish a quiz, we record the event type, topic, score, time and your account ID. We use this only to understand how the app is used and improve it.

We don’t ask for your address, phone number, photo or location. We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party analytics in this version.

The free version shows ads in marked “Ad” spaces. Today those spaces only show our own ads for Street Smart Pro, which don’t use cookies or track you.

We may later show ads from Google AdSense. If we do, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads, including personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more in how Google uses information for advertising and how Google uses data from partner sites, and you can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings. We’ll update this page when AdSense is turned on.

Who processes your information

Google Firebase: sign-in, database (history and events) and website hosting. Firebase privacy information.
Google AdSense: only if it is turned on later (see Ads).
Google Fonts and Google’s Firebase code library: your browser downloads these from Google, so Google sees your IP address when the page loads.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, history and usage events until you delete them. “Clear history” removes your saved history. Deleting your account removes all three.

Feedback

The 💬 Feedback button opens your own email app with a message to happymoodon@pm.me. Nothing is sent until you press send there. We only receive what you send: your message, the app name, the screen you were on, your browser type and your email address. We use it only to reply and improve the app.

A note for parents

Family members, including children, may use this app. Please create the account yourself with your own email. This free version stores quiz history and usage events online and shows ads, so for children we recommend Street Smart Pro, which is ad-free and keeps history on the device. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond what a parent provides. If you think a child gave us information without your permission, email happymoodon@pm.me and we will delete it.

Deleting your account and data

Open ⚙️ Account and tap Delete my account. After you confirm with your password, we delete your sign-in account, your saved quiz history and your usage events. If you can’t sign in, email happymoodon@pm.me and we will delete them for you.

Security

The app uses HTTPS, and our database rules let only you read your own history and events.

Changes

If we change how the app handles information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
